We are very happy to release this special acoustic version of Ljóð í Sand by the icelandic band Árstíðir!
We decided to translate it in german language and we rearranged the sound for only one acoustic guitar and vocals. We had some help by our dear friend Jens Kommnick, wh added some low whistle and uilleann pipes. Simon Schröder played some percussion and Mathias Ruck added a 3rd vocal harmony for the acapella section at the end of the track.
This was really challenging, because we decided to sing the last two choruses in the original icelandic language. Here we had a lot of help by our friend Christian Peiser who did his best in teaching us the corect pronounciation. The original version has a very complex string arrangement that we rearranged on only one acoustic guitar. Translating the lyrics and finding new words in the german language was another challenge.
The video was filmed by Marc Philip Ginolas again. We also have to thank Torsten Laskowski. He made possible that we could shoot the video at the wonderful location "Antikhof Drei Eichen" in Bröckel.
We hope you like our version of this beautiful song!
